Here in Ontario, Canada, the nights are cooling down and the frost nipped leaves \ud83c\udf42\ud83c\udf41\ud83c\udf42have announced the change of season! The tomato harvest \ud83c\udf45 is complete, the pumpkins \ud83c\udf83are picked and piled high at the country stands and the farmers are busy combining soybeans from morning to night. Heavy frost is expected in the mornings ahead. We are all so thankful for the beauty and the bounty in our country!<\/p>

I\u2019m so excited to be planning a visit to share my debut book with my granddaughter\u2019s JK\/SK classroom\u2026after all Audrey did have a hand in creating the main character in my winter tale, \u201cIce Cap\u201d! I’ll have to wait until the first flurries fill our crisp air so my story will be \u201cin season\u201d but I’m sure it won’t take long!<\/p>

Having taught JK and SK for many years I really enjoy engaging with youngsters because they LOVE a good story! They want to chime along and predict what will happen, make personal connections and share their own experiences that relate to whatever you read! I can hardly wait to hear what they have to say about Ice Cap! For now I\u2019m sharing my classroom collection of autumn favourites with my grandchildren.. they are especially captivated by the indigenous thanksgiving stories I\u2019ve collected.<\/p>

Happy Thanksgiving to you all and please take time to read a story to a little one when you gather with your family or friends. Make a trip to your book store or local library and find a special book for them! There is nothing quite like sharing a great story with a little person who hangs on your every word!<\/p>

Recently my daughter and I popped over to MICHIGAN to a BARNES & NOBLE store. They were so nice there! It\u2019s quite a process to get one\u2019s book into stores but you never know! I’m always up for a challenge!!!<\/p>
