She walked into my life like a strong gust of wind,
\nTearing away my reserve and challenging me toward the unknown,
\nShe sculpted her love for me point by point,
\nTill it looked a sharply delineated mystery,
\nThe beauty of which filled our empty lives.<\/p>\n
Our rendezvous were at secluded remote seashores,
\nWhere we tried to match the rhythm of our heartbeats
\nWith the ravenous beats of the surf,
\nSea breeze wafted the immaturity of our youths
\nInto delirious day dreams.<\/p>\n
Time moved with the insensitive passion of a band saw,
\nOne day in a moment of insanity and selfishness we torched
\nThe house we had built with a million dreams,
\nThe blooming flower of our love was snipped,
\nBut the plant bearing it escaped death.<\/p>\n
When Suzanne and I parted five years ago,
\nWe kept our lines of communication open,
\nThrough a common friend Jessica,
\nSo that our love had a chance to return one day,
\nBut out of this morass our spiritual seed sprouted into a bud.<\/p>\n
Through Jessica I kept tab on Suzanne\u2019s pulse –
\nWe never talked directly.
\nFulfilled love is beautiful
\nBut unfulfilled love is a
searing, inextinguishable flame,
\nThat expands the mind and lights the world.<\/p>\n
It has been several months now since Jessica disappeared,
\nMaking my anxiety about Suzanne spike.
\nAgitated, I went to Suzanne\u2019s place,
\nFinding it shut I rang the neighbor\u2019s bell,
\nI was told that she did not live there anymore and her whereabouts were unknown.<\/p>\n
Seared in sorrows long and harried by worldly problems
\nA person can take desperate steps to regain freedom
\u2013
\nOur natural habitat.
\nI must have been a part of her gray architecture,
\nDeserving jettisoning away<\/p>\n
Mornings drag into evenings and evenings struggle to reach the mornings,
\nMusic has lost its rapture and hope is forlorn,
\nAll the stars have extinguished and I am walking alone in the darkness,
\nHow to live has once again become a haunting enigma on the horizon,
\nI am drifting along the flow of life.<\/p>\n
