Ambition, the unwavering self-aggrandizing flame,
\nCourses the veins of modern man,
\nNever giving him rest.<\/p>\n
Work, the new religion,
\nHas woven an emerald cocoon around him,
\nDenying him leisure, dimming out his reflection.<\/p>\n
Life passes in a mechanical soliloquy,
\nWhile the poetry of life is squeezed out.<\/p>\n
Loneliness, the enduring environment,
\nHas drilled through his pores,
\nCreating a lens,
\nThrough which everything looks unconnected.<\/p>\n
The heft of his wealth inflates his ego
\nAnd saturates his senses,
\nBut existence is from moment to moment.<\/p>\n
Man has to begin anew,
\nTo tread a more inspired path.<\/p>\n
