Winter careened in definitely and defiantly,<\/p>\n
As fall\u2019s brownish mosaic wilted without a wail,
\nCarnations and chrysanthemums swayed in silent prayer,
\nWhile lilies and holly berries stood the ground in demurred elegance<\/p>\n
\nThe grayness of winter though unalluring
\nStrengthens resolve and filters fantasies,
\nMaking home a cherished spot,
\nLife a settled journey.<\/p>\n
\nMarch lost winter\u2019s last frozen fury
\nAnd there was an orphan-stretch:
\nDespondency or hope, which to adopt?
\nBut hesitation gradually peeled off for the hope of spring.<\/p>\n
\nThe world prizes spring for its resurgence
\nOf faith and fervor,
\nPlentifulness and adventure,
\nDreaminess and purpose.<\/p>\n
\nIn spring cherry blossoms, dahlias, hyacinths
\nBlaze the grounds,
\nGiving us visions
\nThat our journeys are not empty dreams.<\/p>\n
\nUnfolding of nature over seasons
\nTells us it has a purpose,
\nHumans only the middlemen
\nOf a vast enterprise.<\/p>\n
\nVisits to South Grove Nursery
\nAre visits to a temple,
\nTo absorb the enterprise and aura of nature,
\nOffer a benediction.<\/p>\n
