She sat on the beach like a timeless sculpture,<\/p>\n
Finished and smooth, silent and serene,<\/p>\n
An icon and an emotion,<\/p>\n
Flash of beauty, reservoir of love.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
She moved through the world in graceful silence,<\/p>\n
Unconcerned of its roughness, unmindful of its dead ends,<\/p>\n
Like a ray of light she had her path cut out,<\/p>\n
Skating her way on the curvature of time.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Moving her eyes away from the surf<\/p>\n
She floated her gaze on me,<\/p>\n
I drowned in it without any imaginable rescue,<\/p>\n
Exploring its shape and plumbing its depths.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
At last both of us returned to this world<\/p>\n
And I felt the immense beauty of her soul,<\/p>\n
In a mindless moment the breeze disturbed her coiffeur<\/p>\n
And I waited transfixed for the twirl of her curl.<\/p>\n
