Down the white waters of Ifshana River we were<\/p>\n
Awestruck by its unreal beauty.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Snow-capped mountains framed it,<\/p>\n
As tall pine trees fringed its sinuous contours.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Our boat danced over undulating jagged rocks,<\/p>\n
As the waters frothed and fumed in a hellish dance.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
We seemed to be shooting for the mountain peaks,<\/p>\n
But without knowing the route.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The world seemed to disappear,<\/p>\n
As ethereality took over.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
She looked at me but did not see me,<\/p>\n
I heard her but my mind was somewhere else.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Was the boat-ride mimicking life,<\/p>\n
What was real and what was unreal seemed close?<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Journey has a destination,<\/p>\n
But we were not going anywhere.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
There was a music but without instruments,<\/p>\n
There was a tune but cadences were hard to capture.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
We live in a world but do not see the universe,<\/p>\n
We value time but squander a moment.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Our bondages are earthly,<\/p>\n
But our release seems to lie in a different realm.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Our boat wafted and wailed,<\/p>\n
But the song of the ride came through.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
We were not euphoric or giddy,<\/p>\n
But were enchanted and elevated.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
It seemed we were leaving the world,<\/p>\n
Going to an unknown domain.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
A moment turned to an eternity,<\/p>\n
Eternity melted in a moment.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
What is real we struggle to know,<\/p>\n
But unreal holds our imagination.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Light spreads everywhere,<\/p>\n
But darkness hides in a corner.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Ifshana River has no beginning or end,<\/p>\n
It flows without purpose.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The world moves with a reason,<\/p>\n
But life flows without it.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
To return to the world seemed unnatural,<\/p>\n
Life is an enigmatic dance between illusion and reality.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
