In A Women\u2019s Bosom<\/strong><\/p>\n

Maharaj Kaul<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

She emerged from the azure and tranquil waters of the lake:
\nAwash, dripping, glimmering, satiated,
\nHer physical aura was lustily sanguine,
\nHer beauty limpidly transparent,
\nIt seemed she had come to the lake for an interlude of fun,
\nNot in any tiredness with the world,
\nBut with a vision of having a romance with herself,
\nThat is an aspect of woman:
\nSelf-involved, controlled, sensuous, romantic.<\/p>\n

God created man and woman in different images,
\nTo satisfy the design of life,
\nMan is an outsider but a woman has roots in earth,
\nMan is a challenger and a searcher,
\nWoman is an absorber and a nurturer.<\/p>\n

Man likes to explore,
\nBut for woman everything is a rediscovery of herself,
\nA woman is what she is
\nBut a man is what he would like to be,
\nA child is his mother\u2019s extension
\nBut is his father\u2019s reflection,
\nWoman possesses but man occupies.<\/p>\n

In love woman does not give herself to man<\/p>\n

But absorbs the man within herself,<\/p>\n

While a man gives a part of himself to woman,<\/p>\n

So when love breaks woman feels empty,<\/p>\n

But man feels diminished,<\/p>\n

Woman prays to God to absorb his message,<\/p>\n

While man prays to become his message.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Life is not divided between absorption and radiation,<\/p>\n

Between being and becoming,<\/p>\n

Between extension and reflection,<\/p>\n

Between pregnancy and ambition,<\/p>\n

But it is the synthesis of the two.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

A woman endeavors to live within nature,<\/p>\n

To her a lot of the architecture of politics<\/p>\n

And business woven by man is irrelevant,<\/p>\n

If it were left to her the world would be more peaceful,<\/p>\n

Like a lake she is self-contained \u2013<\/p>\n

Her worldly circumference covers her universe,<\/p>\n

While man raids, woman assimilates.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

If man is the searing energy of sun,<\/p>\n

Woman is the soothing shade of an evening,<\/p>\n

If man is the creator of the world,<\/p>\n

Woman is the relief from its excess.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Time is still moist with woman\u2019s tears,<\/p>\n

In a woman\u2019s bosom lie compassion and tenderness,<\/p>\n

She is the long-awaited shore for her tempest-tossed lover,<\/p>\n

A sane instinct for life over its destruction,<\/p>\n

Woman\u2019s genius for life has yet not been appreciated \u2013<\/p>\n

She is a ray of light which has yet not been<\/p>\n

Given a chance to illuminate.<\/p>\n
