Why does truth hold awesome power over human existence?
\nWhat is it?
\nIsn\u2019t truth the reflection of mind\u2019s search for perfection,
\nUnalloyed, unbending, immaterial,
\nIsn\u2019t truth the fulfillment of the inner dream?<\/p>\n
We know not what truth is,
\nYet we do not cease to find it,
\nIt is the ever-present ignorance of mind,
\nScintillating illusion we worship,
\nHuman senses can grasp only so much,
\nReason has a finite structure based on experience,
\nKnowledge is expanding faster than understanding.<\/p>\n
Facts are not the only things that make the truth,
\nIt is the logic which relates them to the total reality that is the truth,
\nIt is something which stands the test of time.<\/p>\n
Truth is the magnificent search for perfection,
\nEver-expanding horizon eluding definition,
\nReality is many more sided than the human reach,
\nBut understanding is simpler than knowledge.<\/p>\n
The universe may not overwhelm us,
\nBecause its principles may be within our grasp,
\nBut the realization of the principles may elude us for long,
\nThe search for the truth may go on for eons to come,
\nSo the search for truth may become more significant than its possession.<\/p>\n
Search for truth is a merciless passion,
\nA religion more entrancing than practiced to worship any god.<\/p>\n
We want to know who we are,
\nWhere the universe came from,
\nAnd if time will ever cease to be?<\/p>\n
Truth has a roadway to our heart,
\nThe essence of truth is not the arrival at truth,
