A few words about my approach to teaching\u00a0Computer Technology…<\/span><\/p>\n


\n<\/span>The world of computing is opening up so many wonderful opportunities for growth and progress in our world and I am pleased to have the opportunity to help our students begin their journey into the wonders of computer technology.
\n<\/span>Initially, the focus is\u00a0on the\u00a0building blocks of computing. \u00a0Kindergarteners work on mastering the mouse and familiarizing themselves with the keyboard. Later, they engage in typing games and drills to help them to master their keyboard. \u00a0Students in\u00a0first\u00a0through fifth\u00a0grades begin with\u00a0typing lessons, typing games and typing drills in an effort to strengthen their\u00a0command of the keyboard. \u00a0As these skills are mastered, they learn about and improve their knowledge of Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on producing book reports.

A few words on my approach to teaching. . .<\/span><\/p>\n

As a music teacher, I guide my students through the exploration of sound and music with fun games, exercises and beloved-songs. Each-class students will learn a few easy fundamentals of music and then apply that to a fun group song or project. Students also learn life-long skills which include listening, following instructions, working independently and collaborating with others.
