Having both a Master of Science Degree in electrical engineering and a Bachelor of Science Degree in mechanical engineering, she has drafted and prosecuted hundreds of patent applications, rendered opinions concerning the infringement, validity and enforceability of patents, and provided client counseling regarding a wide variety of complex technologies.<\/p>\n
Ms. Doster-Greene has also served as a patent examiner for the United States Patent and Trademark Office. As a patent examiner, she fostered her understanding and appreciation of the patent examination process. Her approach is to attempt and interview each and every case with the respective Patent Examiner or Examining Trademark Attorney which has proven to achieve the most efficient results toward an issued patent or trademark registration.<\/p>\n
While working in the government, academic and private-legal sectors, Dinnatia has gained valuable experience conducting complex patent prosecution, including interferences, reexaminations and issues; handling patent enforcement issues, such as licensing and litigation support; negotiating and drafting high tech agreements; handling patent and data rights matters relating to government contracts.<\/p>\n
Ms. Doster-Greene has served as an adjunct faculty member for the University of Maryland University College where she taught courses in Law and Technology Management; Government Contracts; and Business Law.\u00a0 In her law and technology management course, she lectured on such topics as the development, acquisition and use of intellectual property in a business environment.<\/p>\n
Before practicing law, Ms. Doster-Greene served as an associate engineer for Duke Power Company\u2019s Catawba Nuclear Station.\u00a0 Prior to that, she held several internship positions at technology companies, including the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, General Motors and Hewlett-Packard.<\/p>\n
