The FW Black Collective<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

In 2018, a group of determined community leaders formed the FW Black Collective, also known as FWBC, with a clear mission to empower and unite the black community in Federal Way, Washington, and South King County. They are dedicated to addressing crucial issues such as service disparities, equitable needs,\u00a0 and other social justice issues such as law enforcement’s use of excessive force. In 2020, the FWBC became a 501c3 non-profit organization, fully committed to providing impactful and culturally responsive social programs to meet the needs of the Federal Way black community.<\/p>\n

The FW Black Collective has already made a significant difference in the lives of many individuals and inspired others to follow their lead. The collective comprises individuals who have lived experiences similar to the communities they serve.\u00a0 Though the FW Black Collective centers the needs and voice of the black community, all are welcome.\u00a0 FWBC uses strengths-focused and evidence-based bottom-up strategies created by surveying the community, analyzing data, and partnering with other organizations that share their mission and values.
