Sublocade is a 4 week FDA-approved buprenorphine injection used to treat opioid use disorder in\u00a0patients who are tolerating sublingual buprenorphine. It is injected subcutaneously (just under the skin)\u00a0by one of our Morse Clinic of North Raleigh nurses at the time of this writing. Patients at the Morse\u00a0Clinic of North Raleigh need to schedule with Dr. Julie Gochnour to start the medication. This is a new process for the clinic and we anticipate additional time needed to order\u00a0and reorder the medication. We are required to use an approved specialty pharmacy. The pre-authorization\u00a0process is new to us\u00a0as well. Once we get better at the process, we may look at providing this service\u00a0at other Morse Clinic locations. Due to these factors, this service is currently only available at the North Raleigh location.<\/p>\n

Patients getting Sublocade at the Morse Clinic of North Raleigh do need\u00a0to provide urine drug tests and see their counselor at the OTP.\u00a0If you have Medicaid or Medicare that we contract with, your services may be at no cost to you.\u00a0If you have other insurance or no insurance, the cost is $250\/month plus the cost of the medicine (about\u00a0$1785) or your copay which may vary with your insurance.
